Winter Time

So I was fairly certain that we would never get snow this winter which depending on the day I was either ok with it or really kinda bummed. But we ended up getting a few snow storms so we did have some fun in the snow. It was never enough to build a snowman but maybe next year.

You can't really tell but in this one she is throwing snowballs at Brian.

Catching snowflakes on her tongue.

Jayanne's Big Adventure- Day 4

So today was going home day. We had a late flight so we still had time to do some things during the day. This was a sleep in day for us. Which I appreciated. Some played in the hotel pool while others just lounged around. We got Jayanne in there but she wanted nothing to do with the water. I don't know if she was freezing or if she just didn't feel all that good. Either way she was in there for like 2 minutes before she demanded to get out. After that we ended up going to Balboa Beach and eating at a place called Ruby's on the pier. Which I found out later was in my sister Julie's mission area so I thought that was kinda cool. After lunch we just hung out on the beach until we had to leave to get to the airport.

Jayanne loved to look over the edge of the pier and just watch the water. She found a bird swimming on one side and just followed it around the pier.

She was again anti-water so she played in the sand instead.

Jayanne and Milly watching a movie waiting to fly home.

It was such a fun trip despite the fact that Jayanne ended up sick. Thanks to everyone who helped out with her. It made things so much easier for me. A huge thanks again to Duane and Jill for taking us. It was a lot of fun. And a special thanks to Brian for taking care of her, entertaining her in lines and going on all the kid rides with her. Thanks!

Jayanne's Big Adventure- Day 3

So we did things a bit different this day since Jayanne woke up and still wasn't feeling very good. We tried to go to Disneyland in the morning but she wanted nothing to do with anything so we ended up going back to hotel where she fell asleep and had like a 2 hour nap. She woke up feeling a bit better and was actually eating something so we headed over to California Adventure. Despite feeling a bit sick she still had a ball.
Completely knocked out

Mater and Lightning McQueen. She was so excited to see them.

In line waiting to ride the caterpillar

She loved the ladybugs. She wanted these ones to go faster too.

In line with Daddy.

Having fun

She wasn't quite sure what to think about the Bug's Life 3D movie. She spent most of the movie attached to Brian's arm. She did ok if her glasses were off but she still wasn't too sure about it.

Jayanne's Big Adventure- Day 2

So the next day we went to Disneyland. It was a whole new experience I think for everyone. Especially me. Where I am pregnant and had morning sickness I didn't ride very many rides. But for everyone else we had two little girls so everyone got to experience the kid side of Disneyland. I still think everyone still had fun. Plus Chris and his family stayed out later then the rest of us so they could ride some of the bigger rides. It was so fun to see how excited Jayanne got when she rode the rides. She did really good and didn't get scared hardly at all. And despite the long lines she stayed pretty patient...with the help of Angry Birds.
Jayanne loved the Carousel. She probably would have just kept riding it if we had let her.

In line with daddy and Uncle Chris.

Riding Dumbo

This was my ride on Dumbo. The stationary one for pictures.

Playing peekaboo

Everyone riding the teacups. This was probably one of Jayanne's favorites. She did the whole "FASTER!" thing.

Grandma, Milly and Jayanne

Driving daddy around. She loved this one too. I was excited that she was tall enough to go.

On the carousel again with grandpa and Milly.

She konked out in line for Buzz Lightyear. Thanks to Chris for holding her.

In fact she not only slept in line but through the entire ride and for quite some time after.

The disney castle

After dinner we took her back to ride Buzz Lightyear. She had a blast with this one too. She loved to just look at everything but she did score 3400 all on her own.

The disney castle all lit up for Christmas.

Jayanne was so excited. Daddy bought her a toy Buzz and Woody.

So she did really good throughout the day. It wasn't until she got all ready for bed that everything went downhill. She ended up throwing up everywhere. Needless to say the rest of our trip was a bit different then the beginning of it.

Jayanne's Big Adventure- Day 1

So ever since Jayanne watched the Super Why where pig wants to go on an adventure she has wanted to go on one as well. It worked out well that we went to Disneyland shortly after. She was so excited to go on an adventure. We left the day after Christmas and came back four days later. It was nice to get away and just enjoy the time spent with Brian's family. A huge thanks to Duane and Jill for taking us.

Jayanne's favorite part of the entire trip was the airplane ride. When we started to take off she just put her hands in the air and yelled, "FASTER. GO FASTER!" I on the other hand was not nearly as excited since I was pregnant with some serious morning sickness. But it was fun to see how excited she got. She did really good on the flight. We just put a movie on the laptop and she watched it. She only got a bit upset when we had to wait to take off and we couldn't get the movie going. But with grandpa and Uncle Chris by us they were really good to help keep her entertained until we got going.
Jayanne and Milly loved watching the planes take off and land as we wanted for our flight.

On the airplane with Daddy and grandpa in the background.
We didn't do much when we got to California since it was later in the afternoon. We just got to our hotel and hung out until dinner. We went to California Pizza Kitchen. It was delicious as always.
Playing with her cousins while waiting to eat.

Always a party with these three.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was quite the day for me. Mainly because I woke up and the head cold that I had been dealing with for a week was back full force. Which basically sucked. So we ended up not going to church which was sad because we were really looking forward to it but I couldn't stop coughing. And no one likes to sit next to or listen to the girl who can't stop coughing through church. Anyways, we got Jayanne up and we did present time and talked to her a bit about Jesus and why we celebrate Christmas. I don't think she really cared at that point because she could see her little play kitchen and that is probably cooler to a 2 year old. Anyways, she loved her presents. Her favorite is a toss-up between the play kitchen and the puzzle set my mom gave her.
After presents I had kinda gotten things under control with the help of my medicine so we went over to Brian's parents house for brunch with his family and the present exchange. It was very relaxing. I think the best part was watching Michael and Mckenzie try to figure out if the trip to Disneyland the next day was a serious thing or a joke. Grandma and Grandpa Gave us a trip to Disneyland for Christmas and we kept it a secret from the kids and it was fun to watch them go on the hunt to figure out what the present was. After that we went over to my parents to say hi and spend a few minutes with them on Christmas. We then rushed home so we could start making food for the dinner at Great Grandma Satterlee's house with all of Brian's family and a special appearance of Great Grandma Singleton. It was a great way to end Christmas day.

Christmas Eve

So I don't have any pictures showing what we did Christmas Eve so you will just have to read about it. So Christmas Eve is usually the day that we have a party with my family. This year was especially nice because its the first Christmas that we have had with the entire family home now that Allen is home from his mission. So we all got together at my mom's house and had our little party. We first read the Christmas story and sang Christmas songs since dinner was not quite ready yet. My daddy read the Christmas story while my mom had all the grandkids put together the manager scene as it was read. We then sang, which is no way unusual with my family. We sang at everything. Anyways, we always sing my favorite Christmas song. Its probably safe to say that its almost my entire families favorite Christmas song. Its called Star of Bethlehem. If you have not heard it you really should. Its a beautiful song. We have been singing it for years it seems like ever since the Christmas program for our ward where we first sang it. But its such an amazing song with such a wonderful message. So really, find it and listen to it. You won't be sorry. Anyways, after that we had dinner. We had breakfast casserole. We usually have that for Christmas breakfast but where we all had church we opted to skip Christmas breakfast and just have it for dinner the night before. It was delicious as always. We then did the gift exchange which is always fun. After the party we came home and we did our own little thing with Jayanne. We read her "Twas The Night Before Christmas" and the Christmas story again. It was a great night.
