Winter Time

So I was fairly certain that we would never get snow this winter which depending on the day I was either ok with it or really kinda bummed. But we ended up getting a few snow storms so we did have some fun in the snow. It was never enough to build a snowman but maybe next year.

Jayanne's Big Adventure- Day 4

So today was going home day. We had a late flight so we still had time to do some things during the day. This was a sleep in day for us. Which I appreciated. Some played in the hotel pool while others just lounged around. We got Jayanne in there but she wanted nothing to do with the water. I don't know if she was freezing or if she just didn't feel all that good. Either way she was in there for like 2 minutes before she demanded to get out. After that we ended up going to Balboa Beach and eating at a place called Ruby's on the pier. Which I found out later was in my sister Julie's mission area so I thought that was kinda cool. After lunch we just hung out on the beach until we had to leave to get to the airport.

Jayanne loved to look over the edge of the pier and just watch the water. She found a bird swimming on one side and just followed it around the pier.

She was again anti-water so she played in the sand instead.

It was such a fun trip despite the fact that Jayanne ended up sick. Thanks to everyone who helped out with her. It made things so much easier for me. A huge thanks again to Duane and Jill for taking us. It was a lot of fun. And a special thanks to Brian for taking care of her, entertaining her in lines and going on all the kid rides with her. Thanks!

Jayanne's Big Adventure- Day 3

So we did things a bit different this day since Jayanne woke up and still wasn't feeling very good. We tried to go to Disneyland in the morning but she wanted nothing to do with anything so we ended up going back to hotel where she fell asleep and had like a 2 hour nap. She woke up feeling a bit better and was actually eating something so we headed over to California Adventure. Despite feeling a bit sick she still had a ball.

She wasn't quite sure what to think about the Bug's Life 3D movie. She spent most of the movie attached to Brian's arm. She did ok if her glasses were off but she still wasn't too sure about it.

Jayanne's Big Adventure- Day 2

So the next day we went to Disneyland. It was a whole new experience I think for everyone. Especially me. Where I am pregnant and had morning sickness I didn't ride very many rides. But for everyone else we had two little girls so everyone got to experience the kid side of Disneyland. I still think everyone still had fun. Plus Chris and his family stayed out later then the rest of us so they could ride some of the bigger rides. It was so fun to see how excited Jayanne got when she rode the rides. She did really good and didn't get scared hardly at all. And despite the long lines she stayed pretty patient...with the help of Angry Birds.

Jayanne loved the Carousel. She probably would have just kept riding it if we had let her.

After dinner we took her back to ride Buzz Lightyear. She had a blast with this one too. She loved to just look at everything but she did score 3400 all on her own.

So she did really good throughout the day. It wasn't until she got all ready for bed that everything went downhill. She ended up throwing up everywhere. Needless to say the rest of our trip was a bit different then the beginning of it.

Jayanne's Big Adventure- Day 1

So ever since Jayanne watched the Super Why where pig wants to go on an adventure she has wanted to go on one as well. It worked out well that we went to Disneyland shortly after. She was so excited to go on an adventure. We left the day after Christmas and came back four days later. It was nice to get away and just enjoy the time spent with Brian's family. A huge thanks to Duane and Jill for taking us.

Jayanne's favorite part of the entire trip was the airplane ride. When we started to take off she just put her hands in the air and yelled, "FASTER. GO FASTER!" I on the other hand was not nearly as excited since I was pregnant with some serious morning sickness. But it was fun to see how excited she got. She did really good on the flight. We just put a movie on the laptop and she watched it. She only got a bit upset when we had to wait to take off and we couldn't get the movie going. But with grandpa and Uncle Chris by us they were really good to help keep her entertained until we got going.

We didn't do much when we got to California since it was later in the afternoon. We just got to our hotel and hung out until dinner. We went to California Pizza Kitchen. It was delicious as always.
