4th of July

So I was really kinda sad that I ended up in the hospital over the 4th of July. I love this holiday. I love everything about it. Especially the fireworks. So I was sad that I missed it. But Brian was able to take Jayanne to the family BBQ at Great Grandma Singleton's house. She had a lot of fun. She was able to play with her cousin Milly and watch the huge fireworks. She was so excited to tell me all about it the next day.

Jayanne and Milly used grandpa as a pillow.

Jackson Brian Singleton

Jackson Brian Singleton was born July 3rd at 1:14 pm. He was 7 lbs and 20 inches long. He is absolutely perfect. We couldn't ask for a better son. Its been such a blessing to have him be a part of our family. Jayanne loves him to pieces, almost to the point where it can be a bit overwhelming at times. Thanks to everyone who has helped out our family in any way. You are all amazing and we love all of you!
Getting ready

I think this picture is awesome because he took it by himself. All dressed up and ready to go.

Jayanne Turns 3!

I cannot believe that Jayanne is 3! Its absolutely crazy. It seems like just yesterday that we had her and now she is all grown up. She is such a joy to have in our family. I love her so much. I'm so blessed to be her mom. We didn't do a huge party this year since I was at the point that I could go into labor at any time so we just had cake, ice cream and presents at our house. Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us.

My niece's birthday

My niece Milly turned two and she had a wonderful party. It was at the Holiday Inn Express. Brett and Casandra did a great job with the food and decorations. It's been fun watching Milly grow. Part of the party was to go swimming in the hotel's pool. I was so unsure about how Jayanne was going to do with this part because last time she did a deep pool she did not like it one bit. But she did great! I was sad since Brian had to leave before the pool part and he wasn't able to be a part of it. I honestly think the reason she did so good was because she watched Milly jump in with no fear and decided that she could as well, so THANK YOU MILLY! Also thanks to Chris, Tamara and Michael for being willing to help her in the pool since Brian wasn't able to be there and I didn't get in. It really was a fun party. Thank you Brett and Casandra for inviting us!!
She got to the point where she could kinda swim on her own.

Kicking her feet just like Uncle Chris taught her.

Jumping in just like Milly taught her.

Living Traditions Festival

So I posted about this festival last year and now I get to do it again. We really love going to this festival. The food is great, the entertainment is wonderful and the activities and booths are a lot of fun. We went with my brother Jason and his kids and my little brother Allen.

She looks funny in this picture but she is dancing to the music.

Randomness

Here are just some random pics of Jayanne.

I don't even know what to say about this picture but I love it!

Hogle Zoo- Again

I know, it seems like I post about going to the zoo all time but what can you do? This time however I was able to go with my family. It was a lot of fun to have most of us there. Emily and Allen were away working so they weren't there but everyone with kids was and that was really what we were going for. It was great since Sheri and McLain were able to come down and we don't see them very often. The best part was that I made it through the day without going into labor. So a huge thank you to my family for helping me with Jayanne and the stroller and not complaining when I was going very slow up all the hills that the zoo has. And a special thanks to my brother Jason for coming to get me from my car that was like parked a mile away and pushing Jayanne up the hill and then back down it when we left. My family rocks!!  I was sad that Brian wasn't able to be there but we went in the middle of the week so he was at work. He was excited I didn't go into labor as well.

I was so excited to go back to the zoo because this time the Rocky Mountain Shores was finally open. And let me tell you, I personally think it makes the zoo. All of the animals were active and you could see them all. The kids loved to be able to see above and below the water. It was just so nice.
All of the grandkids!

I love that Ben is holding Brooklyn's hand. Such a great big brother.

Thanks Uncle Jason for taking me on the carousel!

This is the polar bear. Sorry its not a very good picture but its the best one I got.

Jayanne and Brooklyn. I think this picture is super cute with these two girls. Although Jayanne's face looks super chubby next to Brooklyn's skinny face.

Cruisin' Along

So Jayanne got a car last Christmas from her grandparents and we finally took her outside to use it. She didn't want to stop driving. She now thinks that since she can drive her own car that she can drive mom and dad's car as well.

Sleep TIme

So Jayanne doesn't normally take naps anymore, unless I'm just done and then I will put her down, but she still manages to find the time to sleep as long as its her idea. Most of the time she falls asleep in the middle of throwing a fit.

Yes, she fell asleep painting.

Play Room

So one of the things we had to figure out after we got pregnant was sleeping arrangements. We have a 3 bedroom house but one of the bedrooms is downstairs, which isn't a bad thing but we were sure how we felt about sending Jayanne down there by herself. For one thing the TV is down there and she knows how to use it and we didn't want to wake up at 2 in the morning and find her watching it. Another thing was that she had to go up two flights of stairs to use the bathroom and doing that in the dark can be tough for anyone. And then we found out we have a sleepwalker so we decided to just have the two kids share a room. We decided to turn the downstairs room into a play room so we would have a place to put all the toys that seem to have taken over the house. I think it was the best decision ever. We had to make changes to our other rooms to fit the office stuff but its been worth it. Jayanne now has a place to put all her toys and I have the majority of my living rooms back. Brian did a wonderful job fixing the walls up and painting the room. It really turned out to be a very nice room and Jayanne loves it.
As you can see it was quite the room before. It had black walls, a dark gray ceiling and black and whites squares for the floor.

Doesn't it look so much better?!
