Sunridge Fun

On the day after the 4th of July, we went up to Sunridge with Chris' family. I love it up there. So quiet and peaceful. Everything was green and so pretty. Hopefully we can get up there at least once more before it gets too cold. Jayanne loves going up the mountain. One of her favorite things to do is to look for any animals. She was able to see lots of chipmunks and a few deer. She even touched a caterpiller. We took the kids fishing and Jayanne had a lot of fun with that. She even "caught" some fish (Chris really was the one that caught them, she just reeled them in.) This trip was a very special trip because Brian caught his first fish since we have been married. It was very exciting. Jackson was even able to help him. It was a lot of fun to take a day off from the world.

4th of July

This year for the 4th of July we headed out to Willard Bay to see my bro-in-law McLain play with his band at their 4th of July celebration. It was a lot fun. Jayanne loved dancing to the music and playing with her cousins that were there. We then went with Brian's family over to Great Grandma Singleton's house to watch the West Point fireworks. It turned out to be a very relaxing and fun day.

Birthday Mania!!

So with Jayanne and Jackson's birthdays only being 3 days apart, we decided to just have a huge party and celebrate them together. Jayanne was ok with this as long as she was able to have her purple princess party. So we did a princess and knight themed party. It turned out to be a lot of fun and the kids had a blast. We had the huge party at my in-laws. And then we had a little party for each of them on their birthday at home.

Jayanne turned 4 this year. And I can't even believe it. She is so good to play with Jackson and always has been since he turned up. She is super smart and is starting to learn to spell some words. She loves primary, so much that she usually ends up in front dancing to all the songs. She can't wait to go to preschool again and is very excited to start dance. Her favorite color is purple and pink but mostly purple. She loves princesses and Minnie Mouse and being a ballerina. She is so much fun to be around. She is really good at getting Jackson to laugh. Most days she is a really good helper. We love having her in our family!

Jackson turned 1!! And holy cow did time fly! First off it was hard to believe that I had a 4 year old but its way hard to believe that my little man is 1. He is such a funny little guy. He loves his sister to pieces, much to her dismay sometimes. He just follows her wherever she goes. He loves to just play and read books, especially the ones that have flaps to lift. He loves to walk and he has almost figured out running. He loves to throw things. He actually has a really good arm. His favorite place to throw things are in the bathtub. He loves to look at the pictures on mommy's phone. He laughs anytime that anyone else laughs. He is such a joy to have as part of our family!!

Thanks to everyone who came to help celebrate our little one's birthdays!!

I made each of them a cake. Neither one turned out how I envisioned but oh well.

Very excited about the presents.

He has got no clue about what is going on.

Love her!

Why sit on a chair when you can stand on a chair?

He's getting it now.

A ballerina outfit!!

Happy Birthday cake!

So I was a lame mom and I just fed Jackson the cake instead of letting him at it. But he likes it!

Ready for the birthday games. Each girl got a crown and a wand and the boys got shields.

We played Kiss the Frog, like pin the tail on the donkey. And then we throw beanbags at a tower of cans that had pictures of dragons and evil stepmothers on them so they could "vanquish" them.

Even Uncle Dan got in on the fun.

Then we had an epic balloon sword fight.

It was quite entertaining.

Milly was the winner!!

Having fun.
Here are some pictures from our little parties at home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE ONES!!
